Harris and Baum: High Quality Powder Coating Ovens

	At Harris & Baum, we have high quality ovens for powder coating and a varitey of applications. We have over 90 standard sizes available and can customize any oven to your exact specifications. We use computer aided design software and sound engineering principles combined with innovative thinking to offer our customers the highest performance ovens. The powder coating ovens heating system consists of a recirculating direct-fired gas convection burner. The burner package comes complete with all burner controls and a prepurge timer. All necessary safety and flow proving switches are included for meeting code and insurance requirements.Our fireboxes are built using 3/16” steel plate. They are cut using CNC equipment and are fully welded. The combustion chamber is also made with 3/16” steel plate and helps assure complete combustion by protecting the combustion area from high velocity airflow. We use oversized American Fan Company backward curved fans mounted inside 1/8” steel plate scroll housings. This design requires less horsepower per CFM than our competitors. The fireboxes are insulated with 3” of 8# density mineral wool and are sheathed with 18 gauge aluminized sheet.

The oven doors, door frames, and door headers are constructed with heavy gauge (3/16”) frames and supports with insulation and sheathed with 18 gauge aluminized sheet. They are cross-braced horizontally and diagonally with 1” square tubing. They are constructed on a special fixture to assure that they are flat, square and fit perfectly. Our ball bearing hinges are manufactured with 5/8” diameter pins and feature grease fittings for long life. Brixon FM approved latches, high temperature seals and gaskets are included.

Panels used to form the walls and roof are manufactured by George Koch Sons, LLC. They are insulated with 4# density mineral wool, and are manufactured from 20 gauge aluminized steel. They are designed for simple tongue-in-groove assembly and slip-fit together.


	An adjustable air circulation system fabricated from 18 gauge aluminized steel sheet will be provided and is mounted to the inside ceiling. Heated air is ducted and discharged down the wall along the length of the side walls, then returned through ceiling mounted dictwork to the firebox intake. This provides a very even circular flow without high velocity impingement on the work. Sidewall ducting, which discharges the heated air to the floor, is available for more precision heat distribution as an option.

One centrifigal exhaust fan is provided complete with all mounting and intake ductwork. It is sized to provide adequate airflow for meeting code and insurance requirements. An air proving switch is provided and installed.

All ovens are supplied with a 1/8" steel plate floor.
